Women's Safety and Rights Highlighted at Umeed Center Special Event

On August 1, 2024, a beautiful program was organized at Umeed Center for Women and Girls to mark Women's Safety Day (Domestic Violence Awareness). The event featured Dr. Parikshitbhai from Vadodara, the Dowry Prohibition Officer; Pamesh Mehta, a Gender Specialist from Vadodara; Smita Chawla, a PBSC Counselor from Dabhoi; Shobhna Chaudhary, a Counselor; Suraj Rathwa, a Counselor from 181; and Sonalben, Sangeetaben, Mitalben, Nishaben, Dakshaben, and other female police constables from Dabhoi who enhanced the program's dignity. The organization's director, Mr. Praveenbhai, introduced and honored all the guests.

The program began with a prayer for truth and non-violence, followed by a welcome to the guests. Dr. Parikshit Vaghela explained women's rights and laws in simple terms. Pameshbhai then provided information on various government schemes available to women. Subsequently, Surajben Rathwa from 181 Abhayam explained in detail when and how women can use the 181 helpline without hesitation and its benefits. 350 women and girls attended the event. After the program, tea and snacks were served, and the event concluded at 4:30 PM.
