We recently organized a successful dental camp in Akotadar Village aimed at improving the oral health of the local community. The camp offered free dental checkups, treatments, and consultations to villagers, ensuring they had access to much-needed dental care.
The initiative also provided a great opportunity for learning and practical exposure for three interns from Vidhyapith Ahmedabad. The interns were actively involved in various activities, including distributing pamphlets to raise awareness about the camp and conducting door-to-door surveys to encourage villagers to participate. Their efforts helped spread the word about the event, ensuring a large turnout.
In addition to their outreach work, the interns had the chance to observe and learn basic medical procedures commonly used in dentistry. This hands-on experience allowed them to understand how dental treatments are performed and to gain valuable insights into the healthcare process in rural areas.
The success of this camp was not only measured by the number of people who participated but also by the positive impact it had on the local community’s health awareness and education. We hope to continue such efforts in the future, providing essential healthcare services to underserved areas and giving medical students the chance to make a difference.
